Quality Control
At Accurate Roofing, quality control is at the core of every project we undertake. From the initial inspection to the final installation, we maintain strict standards to ensure each roofing system meets industry requirements and customer expectations.
All operatives are developed by seasoned roofers who possess the knowledge and the skills to carry out the works to a high standard but are also able to train less experienced operatives in best practice and British standards.
Supervisors will have attained an NVQ or SMSTS in their skill set, for example: Liquid applied waterproofing or built up felt roofing. The supervisor will also be an approved installer of the manufacturers product to ensure high standards are maintained. It is also vitally important that we ensure that supervisors running our jobs have good communication skills at all levels and can communicate with Stake Holders, Directors, Managers, and pass on concise information to all parties concerned as well as to colleagues and operatives under their supervision.
All clients are provided with a copy of Accurate Roofing’s inspection & Test Plan, and it will be the responsibility of our Contracts manager and site - specific supervisor to ensure that the Inspection and Testing Plan is fully executed.
The Inspection and testing plan will be reinforced with area specific sign off sheets which shall document the step-by-step process of installation.
Quality Assurance
On built up felt, Hotmelt, Single Ply and Green Roofing Projects the Quality assurance process is subsequently underpinned with our material suppliers’ technical representatives visiting our sites to carry out regular quality audits on the construction process for the projects they are guaranteeing.
This process confirms that our operatives are installing the materials in strict accordance with the works specification and to the high-quality workmanship standards that the manufacturer expects from their “approved installer” supply chain.
Accurate Roofing’s ethos is to “fit once and fit right” meaning that our supervisors snag all works as the installation works are completed to ensure that there are no lengthy snagging lists at the end of the project, similarly our projects manager visually inspects the workmanship during the course of their weekly visits, as well as the technical representative from the manufacturer identifying any snags during their site inspections, any snags are dealt with in straight away to prevent future delays to program constraints.
